Private Flook went overseas with the Winnipeg Rifles in Oct. 1916.
He was stationed at Bramshott until Mar. 1917 when he crossed to France, transferring to the 44th Canadians.
April 1, he received slight wounds and was admitted to the Base Hospital for a short time when he joined the Stretcher-Bearers.
In December, for bravery, he was awarded the Military Medal. He was awarded a commission on the field and returned to England for a course.
He rejoined his battalion Sept. 22, 1918 as Lieutenant and five days later, Sept. 27, he was killed in action.
