Private John L. Fletcher embarked for overseas with the C.A.M.C. January 26th, 1917, serving with the Motor Transport Section, driving officers, until while on duty at Schorncliffe he had his arm broken, being completely recovered in February, 1918. He was drafted to France March 21st, 1918. and joined NO 1 Coy 4th Division training remaining with that unit until he left for England May 9th 1919, was at Witley camp until June 6th when he sailed on S.S. Olympic for Canada arriving at Halifax June 13th 1919.
Discharged at Toronto June 16th, 1919 due to demobilisation.
