Sergeant J. Allan Fletcher enlisted February 10th, 1917, with the 256th. Battalion and left for overseas March 26th, 1917, on the “Missanabie”, going to Purfleet Camp for training. He proceeded to France as Sergeant with the 10th. Battalion, Canadian Railway Troops, June 17th, 1917; received his commission September 17th, 1917, and served until the Battalion returned to England in January 1919. He was then stationed at Knotty Ash Camp and Kinmel park until May 11th, 1919, when he embarked from Glasgow on the “Saturnia”arriving at Montreal may 22nd, 1919.
Lieutenant J. Allan Fletcher received his discharge at Toronto May 22nd, 1919, due to demobilisation.
