The Merlin Standard 20/11/41 reported that ‘Fare’ was spending a leave at his home in Merlin.  Married and the father of Tommy.  

The MS 13/07/44 reported that PO Fletcher was home from Guelph on a weekend leave. The Merlin Standard 20/07/44 reported that PO. Fletcher of RCAF-Guelph was home on a week-end furlough. The MS (date unknown) reported that FO. Fletcher  was being transferred from British Columbia to Toronto. It is expected that the Mrs. Fletcher would take up residence in the Merlin area.

The Royal Canadian Legion magazine reported Farewell Fletcher passed away 29 July, 1991.
