Private Andrew James Fleming trained in London and Toronto with the Cycle Corps, going overseas with this unit. He arrived in England June 1st, training at Chisledon Camp until the Spring of 1917 when he was transferred to Shoreham, Sussex, and to Seaford in the Autumn. He proceeded to France November 28th, 1917, While in France he was attached to the Independent Forces at Amiens, after which he was attached to the 11th. Brigade doing patrol work for about a month when he was sent back to his original unit with which unit he remained until the end of hostilities. he served in all the principal engagements while he was in France including 2nd Somme and the Cambrai Arras Scrap. He returned to Canada March 21st 1919.
Discharged at London March 26th due to demobilisation.
