The brother of Beverly William Flanagan and the son of Private Patrick Joseph and Inez Aetna Flanagan of 187 Queen St, Chatham, On. James was born on May 9, 1911 in Wallaceburg, ON. James was on the “Muster Roll” of the 2nd Bn., Kent Regiment (MG), N.P.A.N. but largely kept his military career quiet and unspoken. He was married and fathered 2 children – Beverly Jane Reaume (Flanagan), and Richard “Dick” Flanagan.
Passing away on Aug 27, 1972 in Chatham, James rests beside both his parents at the Maple Leaf Cemetery at a separate stone in Chatham, ON.
