The son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Finley of Dresden John was reported stationed a RCAF-St. Thomas. The DT reported that John was home on a weekend leave.    

The DT 29/01/42 reported that AC1 Finley was stationed at RCAF-Hagersville when he was given a two week furlough with his parents. The DT 9/04/42 reported that John, stationed at Hagersville, had moved to Canadian Active Service. 

The DT 15/04/43 reported that John was stationed in Quebec when he was home on a weeks leave at his parents home. John was reported at his parents home and he was on a Christmas leave. DT 30/12/43

The DT 10/02/44 reported LAC Finley was spending his furlough with his family in Dresden. In December 1944 john was stationed with 161 Squadron RCAF-Yarmouth, NS. was on a weeks  leave with his parents. The DT 24/08/44 reportd that John’s Commanding Officer had recommended him for the Military Medal “in honur of his services when he saved a man from a burning aeroplane”. At that time John had been stationed at Bagotville, Quebec.   

John passed away 25 October, 1985.
