The son of Mr. Francis “Frank” Israel and Mrs. Agnes May (Drury) Field of 87 Hillyard St., Chatham, ON. Born in Chatham, ON., Harold had a brother Harry Gordon A470293 in the Canadian Army and Stanley Lyle A470294.  Other siblings were Mary Gladis,  Edyth Pearl, Francis Lloyd, Margaret, and Harold William.  The husband of Louise Helen (nee Tedford/Austin) of London.

Harold attended McKeough public school and Chatham Collegiate Institute. He was employed by Imperial Optical Co before joining the Navy.

Harold enlisted in the RCNVR in November of 1942 at Windsor, age 21 years. He trained at Galt, Toronto, Esquimo, BC and was stationed on the east coast of Canada in 1945.

Harold passed away in 1989.
