Born in Tilbury the son of Theodore and Fannie Faubert. Brother to Lillian (Lesperance), Alfred and Archie Attestation: 9/12/1916 at Tilbury with the 91st Bn., transferred to the 186th Bn. leaving for England with the 186th aboard the S.S. Lapland.
It was reported in the Tilbury Times of 29/11/1917 that Ben Faubert [reported as FOBERT] was one of three local casualties at the front, the other two were Frank Mowatt and John Tulley who was reported killed.
A letter printed in the Tilbury Times, Thursday, 24 January, 1918 from Constance Scott of London, England gives some information ofn Pte. Faubert’s recovery:
Dear Next of Kin:-
Our visitor reports that Pte. B. Faubert had an operation recently to cleanse the wound in his leg and is feeling much better after it. He is now getting on very well. We are glad to send this good report.

Married to Lillian ‘Lila’ (nee Simons), Benjamin passed away Sunday, 19 September, 1969 at Westminister hospital where he had been ill for the past few months. Internment at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Tilbury North Twsp., Kent Co., ON.
