Private Evans enlisted in 186th. Battalion April 6th 1916 at Chatham and trained with that unit untill March 19th 1917 when he was discharged as medically unfit. he was called up under the M.S.A. January 3rd 1918 and served at London till march 19th same year when he was again turned down.
