Born 09/02/1907, the son of William and Elizabeth Embury, of Blenheim, Ontario. Brother of Cpl. Glen, Essex Scottish, Ken, Gordon and two sisters Mrs. Stewart Scoyne of Ridgetown and Mrs. Del Bond of Blenheim. A single labourer living in Blenheim.
Transferred to Royal Canadian Regiment from Kent Regiment.
George enlisted 15/08/1940 with the Kent Regt., in Chatham, ON. George was granted a 14 day leave in April, 1941. He served on the west coast and was hospitalized from 18 Apr. to 27 June 1942 at New Westminister. George left for overseas duty 30 Sept., 1942
The CDN 7/02/44 reported that Pte. George O. was reported as ‘missing’.
Age: 34, KIA – Date of Death: 20/12/1943, in Italy.
