Private Robert Emans left London, Ontario, Good Friday, 1916, for overseas, and after training in England proceeded to France in June, 1916, transferring to the 58th. Battalion. He was gassed September 22nd, 1917, and, for special bravery, was recommended for the Military Medal. He was admitted to Hospital in France, and later to Hospital in Manchester, England, then after treatment at Epsom was discharged from Hospital in November, 1917. Hew was attached to the 4th. Reserve Battalion, he went back to France March 29th, 1918 and was attached to the C.C.?R. C. until June 1919.
Discharged June 30th, due to demobilisation.
