After being commissioned as a F/O he served in the North Atlantic on submarine patrols from Halifax to Newfoundland.
Stationed in Canada. Served at Guelph wireless school Fingal and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Promoted to the rank of Flying Officer.
Myles graduated from No.4 Wireless School at Guelph, ON., his parents attended tha graduation exercises at the Fengal bombing and Gunnery School he was granted a five day furlough before being posted for active duty as a WAG. CDN 7/12/42
WO2 Myles had been serving on the east coast command service. Myles received notice that he had been promoted to the rank of WO2 while he was on Christmas leave at his parents home. CDN 10/01/44(P)
The CDN 20/05/44 reported that WO2 Myles Emans was to be wed to Miss Muriel Jack, the wedding to take place in July.

Discharged October 13th, 1945.
