Born 1/12/1912. Son of Myles and Nellie Ellis, the brother of Mrs. Lorne Howes of Wallaceburg. R. R.  #6 Dresden, ON (Grove Mills). The CDN 6/03/43(P), reported that Pte. G. Ellis had arrived overseas. 

Gordon enlisted in August of 1942 with the RCR and went overseas to England, Sicily, Italy and finally Holland. Reported returning from overseas on board the S. S. “New Amsterdam” part of a contingent of RCR members. CDN 25/09/45, 26/09/45.

Discharged November 1945.

In 1980 he was living in Chatham, ON. at 67 Gray St.
