Born in 1913 at Calgary AB., the son of Mr. Robert and Elizabeth Elliott of Toronto; Brother of Austin and Fred W., he was  living at 92 Jeffery St., Chatham, ON, with his wife Winnetta May (nee McMath), they would have a son Herman.

Charles enlisted 26/07/1940 and served for three months in the Kent Regt. in Canada from July 1940 to Jan. 1945. Charles and Winnetta were reported married in the CDN 9/09/42 at Park st., United Church. At that time Charles was a member of the First Kent Regt.(Active). He went overseas in March of 1945, stationed in England with #6 C.I.T.R. He also served in Holland and Germany and was promoted to CQMS. Awarded the C.V.S.M with Clasp.

Charles returned to Canada aboard the S. S. Queen Mary CDN 4/01/46. He was discharged 2/02/46.

Charles McNiece would pass away 15 September, 1987 and is buried at Maple Leaf Cemetery – Chatham, ON.
