Son of Theodore and Ethel Ebare of 29 ½ Dover St., Chatham, ON. The brother of Pte. Edgar (serving in England) Pte. Orville (North Bay), and Pte. Adolphus ( Windsor).
Pte. Ebare had enlisted in February of 1943 and the age of 19 years. He trained at Camp Ipperwash and on 12 July 1943 went overseas.
One year with 2nd Kents.
The CDN 23/05/42(P) reported that Pte. David Ebare was in hospital in Italy suffering from slight wound to a toe on one foot caused by a bomb fragment from a mortar round (CDN 27/05/44) while in action. First reported Wounded In Action. CDN 20/06/44.
Served in Army over two years. Was wounded with shrapnel while fighting in Italy. CDN 20/06/44.
Discharged November 6th, 1945.
David passed away 19/12/1996.
