Private David J. Dunlop embarked with the Imperial Mechanical Transport Company in January, 1916, and in England, transferred to the Canadian Mechanical Transports, proceeding to France in March, 1917. Private Dunlop received severe injury from burns August 5th, 1917, which necessitated his removal to Hospital in England, Upon recovery he went on duty at Shorncliffe, with the Motor Transports. He returned to France August 1918 and was the army of occupation in Germany.
Discharged May 1919 due to demobilisation.
