The son of Mrs. John T. Doyle of Chatham. The brother of Sergt. Patrick Doyle who was in serious condition in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Chatham.
The CDN 17/05/43 reported John was attached to the 214th Coastal Artillery had been home on a ten day furlough to visit his mother Mrs. J. T. Doyle of Third St., Chatham. He left for Camp Davis in North Carolina.
Lieut. Doyle was reported in the CDN 30/06/44 was returning to Camp Stewart in Georgia after spending two weeks furlough with his mother.
The CDN of 8/03/45 reported that Lieut. Doyle, then stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas was expected at his brother’s sickbed.
