The son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Donais of Tilbury.

Bernard was reported to have been home on furlough from the ‘Pacific coast’.  CDN 8/09/42  Married to Edna (nee Regnier) living in Tilbury. The father of a daughter three months old in April of 1943. Bernard was stationed in Vancouver for three and a half years when he spent a furlough visiting his wife and family. TT 22/04/43.

The CDN 30/10/44 reported that Pte. Donais then stationed on the Pacific Coast when he was given a furlough home.

Bernard had spent a year fighting in Holland and Germany at the end of the war. He was reported to have arrived in Canada in the CDN 5/12/45.
