Lieutenant Dickie trained with the Ambulance Corps of the 24th Ken Regiment 1913-1914.
He received a commission in Garrison Artillery at Halifax in Oct 1916 and also a Lieutenant’s Commission in Field Artillery, Kingston, Dec. 31, 1916.
From May to October, 1917, he took a pilot’s course in England and Scotland.
He proceeded to France attached to No. 84 Squadron as Scout Pilot Nov. 9, 1917.
He was killed in action Nov. 30, 1917 and buried with military honors “Somewhere in France”, Dec. 1.
