The only son of Alexander Hubert Dick and Mabel (nee Gosnel) Dick, of Thamesville, ON.  He was the husband of Kathryn Colette Dick, and a son Neil William, who was only 15 months old when his father was killed.

Date of Death: 03/10/1944, in France. Alvin died on the second anniversary of his wedding.
