The son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph De Mars of Pain Court. The brother of Mrs. A. Broadbent, Mrs. E. Emery, Mrs. S. Maure, Mrs. F. Tetreault, Mrs. A. Reaume.  Prior to his enlistment he was employed in Windsor, ON. 

The CDN 19/04/43 reported that Tpr. De Mars was home from Dundurn, SK. to spend a few days furlough. In his honour a family gathering was held. His sisters acted as hostesses.

The CDN 11/09/43(P) reported that he had arrived oversea with the 30th Recce Regt. C.A.C., word received by his parents.
