Private Robert F. Delmege left for overseas May 31st, 1915, trained on St. Martin’s Plain, Shorncliffe, and sailed for France October 9th, 1915. He served continuously from Ploegstreedt to Ypres, including Wulvesgtem and Kimmel, until wounded at Ypres August 5th, 1916. After hospital treatment he was invalided to Canada March 12th, 1917, and subsequently discharged. During active service Private Delmege received promotion to Corporal.
Corporal Robert F. Delmege received his discharge June 30th, 1917, being medically unfit for further military service.
