The son of Mr. and Mrs. James Dell of 28 Montgomery Dr., Wallaceburg. He had six sisters Mrs. Sidney Stout, Mrs. Ray Wark, Flora, Nancy (Mrs. Melvin Lane) and Edna and Mavis all living in Wallaceburg. His brother Sgt. (WAG) Oliver Dell also serving in the RCAF.
Ronald was reported training at RCAF-St. Thomas when he was granted a week-end leave. He spent his leave at the home of his aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. William Abrams at the village of Terminus.
KIA – Date of Death: 30/08/1944, Lancaster PB 143 was shot down over the Baltic Sea ( LAESO, Denmark) on a night Op. to Stettin, Germany six members of the crew were not Canadian.
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead, Grave/Memorial Reference: Allied Plot. grave 68.
Cemetery: FREDERIKSHAVN CEMETERY
