Son of Sophia Deline of 6 King St. Place, Chatham, ON. A single fireman living at his mothers home. Attestation: 24/09/1917 at London, ON. to 7th Overseas Regt.
Private Gordon Deline transferred from the 7th. Depot Battalion, London, Ontario, to the M.G.S. of the 4th Depot Battalion, Toronto, and later to the 1st Depot Battalion C.O.R. with which he left Halifax February 13th, 1918, arriving in England March 2nd. He was stationed at Witley Camp until June, 1918, when he crossed to France, drafted to the 2nd. C.M.R. he received gunshot wounds in the right hand November 6th, 1918, being admitted to the 23rd. Canadian Clearing Station 27/03/19, he left England for Canada March 27th.
Discharged at London due to demobilisation April 11th 1919.
