The son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Debrone, 430 Wallace St., Wallaceburg, ON.

Buffy enlisted in September of 1940 and spent six months at Air Training School, Galt. He then went to Trenton and Ottawa and then to Tofino Island off Vancouver for eighteen months. In January of 1944 he was stationed at RCAF- “Northern Base” British Columbia. WN 27/01/44

He remustered for Air Crew which meant more training at St. Thomas and Aylmer, ON to be a flight engineer. He graduated in December, 1944 from RCAF – Flight Engineering School at Alymer, on of 240, the largest class in Canada. His parents expect him home on a 29 day leave before being reassigned. WN 11/01/45
