Private E. Clifton Cuyler trained about six weeks with the 24th. Kent Regiment to form a guard for the Duke of Connaught and Princess Patricia.
Private E. Clifton Cuyler transferred from the 91st. to the 186th. Battalion, training with this unit until March 1917, when he was admitted to Hospital in London suffering from rheumatism. upon recovery he was appointed to clerical duties in the Chief Clerk’s Office, having been promoted, when training, to the rank of Sergeant. He transferred May 30th, 1918, to the 64th. Battery, trained at Petawawa Camp, volunteered for the Siberian Forces ands sailed on the “Empress of Japan” October 10th, 1918, with the advance party for Siberia. Arrived at Vladivostock October 26th and was stationed at points Egarschott, Gournastai and Second River. Left Siberia April 21st, 1919 in S.S. Monteagle and arrived at Vancouver May 6th, London May 11th.
Discharged at London May 19th, 1919 due to demobilisation.
