The Ridgetown Independent News in the column “Indy Past” reported that a memorial service was held at the Duart Presbyterian Church in the evening of September 5, 1943 for the fallen airman. “the church was beautifully decorated by Mrs. D. Thomson, president of the Red Cross with the assistance of many neighbours.”
