The Merlin Standard 1944 reported Pte. Crosby was stationed at Camp Ipperwash when given a week-end leave.   

Served overseas in United Kingdom and in Europe. Promoted from Private to Gunner. Was awarded the France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, C.V.S.M with Clasp.

The CDN 10/12/45 reported that he returned to Canada aboard the S. S. Mauretania. 

Arrived aboard the S.S. Mauritania from overseas docked at Halifax NS. 1 January, 1946.
