It was reported that LAC Cripps and a friend LAC Sinton spent a weekend leave at the home of Mrs. Ernest Cripps on Gladstone Avenue, Chatham. CDN 29/08/42.  The CDN 8/05/43 reported LAC Cripps had arrived  at Chatham from RCAF Trenton to spent a week-end furlough with his mother at her home on Gladstone Avenue, Chatham.

The CDN 15/06/44 that LAC Cripps who was stationed at RCAF-Edmonton was leaving Chatham to take a course at RCAF-Trenton.

Discharged March 27th, 1945.

Joseph W. Cripps passed away 29 June, 1994.
