Private Gordon P. Crenshaw was a student at San Antonio, Texas, and was rejected by the By American Flying Corps due to poor vision July 8th, 1917, at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. June 24th, 1918, was accepted, doing actual flying on Planes at San Antonio, Texas. He proceeded overseas early in September 1918, posted to the 114th, Engineers, Co. B. American Expeditionary Force, France. Served there until April 22nd, 1919 when he embarked on U.S. Destroyer Nebraska for Newport News arriving there May 1st, 1919.
Discharged at Camp Travis May 14th, 1919 with the rank of Sergeant.
