Unit # 1st Kent Regiment / No. 12 BTC

Of Blenheim, ON. Stewart enlisted in Chatham with the First Kents. His wife and three sons living in Blenheim. He had a sister Mrs. Eggleston of Chatham. A brother Sgt. David was stationed at No. 12 BTC – Chatham.

Reported seriously wounded in action while serving in Italy. CDN 5/06/45. The CDN 16/02/45(P) was recovering from a broken back when a Jeep overturned on active service sustained on Christmas night.

He had been overseas a year. 

Stewart passed away 15/11/1995.
