Private Herbert Cox , after a B.F. and P.T. course was made Corporal in February 1917, and later, after a course at the Royal School of Infantry, London, was promoted to Sergeant. He went overseas the latter part of April 1917, transferring to the 20th. Canadian Battalion and proceeded to France August 28th, 1917. He was returned to England November 15th, 1917, suffering from trench fever and trench feet, and admitted to hospital.
