The son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cottingham of Tilbury. Bob was reported on a week-end pass from No 12 BTC., Chatham to visit his parents in mid-September of 1943. TT 16/09/43. In June of 1944 Bob had been training at Camp Ipperwash, ON. and had been visiting his family on a two week furlough before he was being sent to Camp Annapolis, NS. for additional training. CDN 21/06/44.
