Private Victor L. Cooper trained with the 186th. Battalion, going overseas March 26th, 1917. After being station at Bramshott a short time he proceeded to France attached to the 18th. Battalion. He was wounded in the shoulder and left leg August 20th, 1917, and after a treatment in a French Hospital returned to his unit, but at Passchendale, November 10th, 1917, he was again wounded after being gassed three times, and also suffering from trench feet.He was admitted to Hospital at Bramshott and Southport, Lancashire.
He went to France again September 5th, 1918 and was in the Army of Occupation in Germany till he sent to England where he arrived May 7th, 1919. He arrived in Canada July 8th, 1919 at Halifax.
Discharged due to demobilisation at London July 11th, 1919.
