Private Peter Connell served twelve years with His Majesty’s Royal Artillery, the greater part of this time being spent in India. He received his discharge September 18th, 1894.

Private Peter Connell was transferred from the 186th. to the 122nd. Forestry Battalion March 21st, 1917, with which unit he went overseas, arriving in England June 11th, 1917. He crossed to France June 26th, 1917, with the 43rd. Company, Forestry Corps, and six months later was invalided to England suffering from sciatica and lumbago, thence to Canada October 9th, 1918.

Private Peter Connell received his discharge November 12th, 1918, being medically unfit for military service.
