Married with a son Larry were residing at his mother’s home at 226 Patteson Ave., Chatham. Johnny joined the First Kents Regt. in 1940 later transferring to the Signals Unit.

Enlisted first with the Kent Regiment and later transferred to the Signals Unit. Served in Canada from 1940 to January 1945. Went overseas with the American and Australian Forces  and was stationed in Australia.

Discharged April 12th, 1946.

The CDN 7/03/56(P) reported that Pte. Comanic “of the Special US Wireless Group” had arrived safely in Australia.

Living at 1208 N.E. 5th Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL. In 1964.
