Private William T. Collins trained three years with the St. Clair Borderers, 27th. Regiment.

Private William T. Collins arrived in England September 1st, 1916, and after training at Witley Camp transferred from the 135th. to the 125th. Battalion, and again to the 4th. Battalion, proceeding to France November 25th, 1916. He went through Vimy Ridge and Souche Valley when he was transferred to a salvage party, and when on duty was wounded by shrapnel June 10th, 1917.

Private William T. Collins was admitted to the 1st. Southern General Hospital, Bermingham, England, August 5th, 1917, suffering from rheumatism, and six weeks later to Epsom Convalescent Hospital. He was invalided to Canada, arriving at New York December 20th, 1917, receiving treatment at Guelph Military Hospital.
