Sapper Frederic Ivan Collins trained at Carling’s Heights, London, and Valcartier until September 1916, when he left for overseas. In England he transferred to the Signal Company, and April 3rd, 1917, proceeded to France attached to the 3rd. Canadian Division signals; posted to the 9th. Brigade Signals April 9th, 1917.
He served until February 1919 when he left for England, and embarked March 15th, 1919, for Canada, arriving at Halifax March 22nd, 1919.
Sapper Frederic Ivan Collins received his discharge March 29th, 1919, due to demobilisation.
