The son of Mr. and Mrs. George Colley, of 68 King St., Chatham. He was reported serving overseas. George was 19 years old when he enlisted in Chatham. He trained at No.12 BTC and at Camp Ipperwash. CDN 27/09/44

Trained with the 2nd Kent Regiment.

Served overseas two years, in France, Holland, Belgium, and Germany. Was on Occupational Duty in Germany for about six months. Was wounded in Germany (blown out of a slit trench) and received the usual decorations.

Discharged August 1946.

 George E. Colley passed away 25 February, 1999.
