Chevalier, Clinton Sherman ‘Tindy’

 

 

Born in Tilbury, ON. in 1925. The third son of Mr. Henry Mrs. Margaret Chevalier of Prospect St., Tilbury. He was reported to have enlisted with the RCNVR at Windsor, ON. 8 June 1943 in Windsor, ON. at HMCS Hunter, age 18 years. TT 17/06/43. In September of 1943, Clinton left Tilbury for HMCS Cornwallis NS. where he was stationed TT 23/09/43.

An article from the CDN 17/05/1988 adds some interest to Clinton’s war story: “Clinton Chevalier examines a war medal” and “Tilbury resident given a war medal by Russia”.

Clinton passed away 14 June, 2011.
