The WN 7/01/43 reported that Lloyd was home on a leave from Camp Petawawa for the New Years. Unfortunately he was down with a case of pleurisy and would not be returning for a few day later. He along with Pte. Victor Bennett received a pen and pencil set from the Free Methodist Sunday School. The WN 25/03/43 reported that Pte. Chesney of R.R. #1 Beacher Road had returned to Vancouver after a two week furlough. The WN 6/05/43 reported that Lloyd who was stationed at Victoria BC. in ‘active service’ and was expected to be moved to the coast. Lloyd was home in Charlemont on a weekend leave WN 24/06/43.

The WN 23/03/44 reported that Gnr. L. Chesney was reported on ‘active service’.

Discharged January 1946.

Lloyd passed away 7 July, 1955.
