Resident Tilbury

In February of 1941, Malen was on a weekend furlough from the RCAF Manning Depot in Toronto TT 13/02/41. In April of 1941, Malen was reported to have returned to the RCAF in Toronto after spending his two week furlough with his wife TT 17/04/41. He was married somewhere in the Tilbury area TT 27/11/41. LAC Malen and his wife were the Easter visitors to someone’s house in Tilbury TT 9/04/42. Malen was stationed at the RCAF in Trenton in May and June of 1942 when he received another two week furlough to visit his family.

Supplemental Information Born in Tilbury, ON. The son of Mr. A. Cavanagh Cavanaugh of Tilbury and the husband of Dorthy Cavanagh of Charles St., Trenton, ON., who he had married 31/12/1940 in Chatham, ON. The couple was living in Tilbury when Malen enlisted in the RCAF 2/01/1941.
