The son of  Mr. and Mrs. Robert Causley of Wallaceburg, ON. The brother of Lieut. James (Royal Canadian Artillery).

‘Jack’ was reported as a survivor of the sinking of HMCS Ottawa. The ship was torpedoed and carried 113 crew member to the bottom. His parents had only received information that Jack was homeward bound a few days before the article appeared in the CDN 22/09/42. Once returned home, Jack would have a well-deserved furlough.

Jack was reported to have passed away on June 19, 1995.
