Private H. Cathart went overseas with the 186th. Battalion in March 1917, and after training at Bramshott, he proceeded to France August 26th, 1917. He then transferred to the 18th. Battalion. He was admitted to the 14th Canadian Stationary Hospital on November 6th, 1917, having been wounded and suffering from contusion of the leg. He returned to duty and remained with the Battalion until April 1919.
Discharged at London May 24th, 1919 due to Demobilisation.
