Resident Woodstock

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Cartier of St. Clair Street, Chatham. Harry was living at 868 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, ON. when he enlisted with the Kents.

Henry was reported home on furlough in June of 1942 and was on his way back to rejoin his regiment stationed at New Westminister, BC CDN 10/06/42.

The CDN 8/05/43 reported that Cpl. Cartier had arrived safely overseas with a draft of reinforcements. Cpl. Cartier was a signaller with the First Kents enlisted in 1940. He had recently volunteered to go to Britain as a reinforcement.
