Private Charles R. Carson went overseas with the 33rd Battalion in March 1916, proceeding to France in October 1916, attached to the 49th. Canadian Battalion. He was wounded in the wrist and again October 31st, 1917, in the left hand and abdomen, returning to the trenches the latter part of November 1917. He was then transferred to Lord Strathcona’s Light Horse, remaining with that unit until he was sent home May 1919.
Discharged May 23rd, 1919 due to demobilization.
