Resident Tilbury

Son of Agnes and Edward Carrick of Tilbury. Husband of Evelyn (nee Everitt). Charles lived his adult life in Tilbury. He joined the RCAF, serving as an air gunner and wireless operator until the end of the war. 

The CDN 5/01/45 reported that he had graduated as a WAG at RCAF-St. Catharines and was on a furlough to see his parents. He was posted to RCAF-PEI for further training. Was a member of the Tilbury Legion and Knights of Columbus. ‘Chuck’ operated a number of businesses in Tilbury and was Mayor of the Tilbury at the time. He died around the 20th of October, 2009. He is buried at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Tilbury, ON. CDN (Obit) 21/10/09.
