Joined first Kent Regiment in 1940 (#A49663). Went overseas to Highlands Light Infantry of Canada in 1941.

The WN 23/03/44 reported that Pte. Stan Carley was serving on active service. The brother of Eva, William and Harold. The husband of Helen (nee Solohub). The father of Sandra and John. 

Discharged July 1945.

Stanley passed away in June, 1982.  Buried at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham, ON.
