Sergeant S. Frank Cape transferred from the 91st. to the 186th. Battalion, going overseas with this unit. He arrived in England on Good Friday, 1916, and proceeded to France with the first draft June 6th, and ,after serving one month with the 18th. Battalion, was returned to England suffering with Trench fever and Pleurisy. After treatment in Hospital at Eastbourne, he was sent to Bramshott July 6th, 1917, and a short time later received his first good conduct stripe.
